It was a good win for the Jets last night, especially with it being the debut of quarterback Sam Darnold.
Things did not start well for Darnold, as his first pass was intercepted and returned for a score. After that, it was smooth sailing.
The Jets scored offensively, defensively, and on special teams. Most of all, it showed Darnold’s ability to shake off a bad play and not allow it to effect him. He will have his bad moments, but the Jets may be on the right track with him at quarterback. He will become what Mark Sanchez wasn’t.
I think this team has a good chance of finishing second in the division – it’s them or Miami. They are not as good as New England, but they may narrow the gap. They played good, hard football most of last year, only to lose in the fourth quarter. If they keep playing that way, they are going to win a few games they lost last year.
