Rowan opened its season this past Thursday night, beating Widener (Pa.) in overtime, 40-34 and College of New Jersey lost to Fairleigh Dickinson (Florham), 35-21. Stats are courtesy of www.d3football.com.
The NJAC consists of ten teams and five are from New Jersey: College of New Jersey, Kean, Montclair State, Rowan, and William Paterson. Out-of-state teams are Wesley (Del.), Frostburg State (Md.), Salisbury (Md.), Southern Virginia, and Christopher Newport (Va.).
Statistics from the Rowan game include:
- WR Elijah Rehm (Clayton) returned two kickoffs for touchdowns, totaling 254 yards on three returns and caught one pass for 14 yards.
