Concerns:  

  • Staying healthy 
  • Remaining focused, one game at a time and forgetting the hype 

Recruiting:  

    • Ahsin and Jahsin Jacobs have Power-5 interest plus schools such as Liberty 
    • Smith has 1AA interest and non-Power-5 such as Western Michigan 
    • Stewart is below the radar with good hands, and aggressive attitude, and good size 
    • Others are the D3 variety 
    • Underclassmen: 
    • Carroll has a 4.3 GPA out of 5.0 and may go to a high-academic school; may also go for track 
    • Sophomore Clyburn has offers from Mississippi, Rutgers, and Liberty
    • Sophomore Bethea possesses a Mississippi offer

“We have a team with experience and they are learning how to win. We will be fast around the perimeter and have a new quarterback that has no experience, but we trust him. We finally have depth up front and are able to play kids one way – the first time in a long time.” – Head Coach James Magazine
