It’s early and some may question why I have 1-1 teams at the top and two 0-2 teams included. Here’s why:
- Willingboro lost to Group 3 Burlington Township, who is undefeated
- Camden lost to an undefeated Group 4 in Winslow
- Pleasantville lost to St. Joe’s (Hammonton) – anyone think teams below them have a good chance at beating them?
- Penns Grove played a close game most of the way against #4 Salem, only to have three touchdowns scored quickly against them in the fourth quarter
- Haddonfield lost to #2 Camden
- West Deptford lost by one to #7 Haddonfield and by 11 to #1 Willingboro
- Cedar Creek lost by two to #3 Pleasantville and to Holy Spirit. Again, any teams in here think you have a good chance to beat Holy Spirit?
I rarely penalize a team for losing to a good Catholic school team and I know by seeing teams in South Jersey that they are much stronger in the small school department.
