Offense:  St. Peter’s Prep runs a power spread and return four starters.  The incumbent quarterback is senior Maasai Maynor (5-11, 190) and sophomore Tahj Bullock (6-3, 190) has promise, possibly getting some snaps.  At running back, senior Anthony Summey (6-0, 190) saw time and he will be joined by senior Khyree Robinson (5-8, 170), senior Kyree Parker (5-7, 170), and freshman Paul Lefkowitz (5-10, 210).

Two wide receivers return in seniors Ayir Asante (5-11, 175) and Chase Jones (6-2, 205).  They will be joined by junior Jelani Mason (5-10, 170), junior Byron Shipman (6-2, 185), junior Cody Simon (6-0, 210), and senior Richie Luzzi-Liggins (5-10, 160).  The tight end, junior Benjamin Silver (6-1, 215), saw action last year and senior Matt Adams (6-1, 216) will also play.

The lone returning starter is senior Stanley Dennis (6-0, 275) at guard, where he will be paired with senior Andrew Marrero (6-0, 255), with sophomore Mason Cobb (6-3, 250) in reserve.  The two tackles have a three-way race among senior Elijah White (6-1, 310), sophomore George Rooks (6-5, 255), junior Isaiah Wright (6-5, 270), and freshman KJ Miles (6-4, 240).  Center is between senior Mike Giordano (6-0, 305) and sophomore Aidan Monteiro (6-3, 250).

Defense:  The Marauders run a 4-3 and return five starters.  Senior RJ Oben (6-3, 225) returns at end and he will probably be paired with Adams, while the tackles are Dennis and White.  Fighting for time on the line are Rooks, and Wright.

Returning in the secondary at safety is senior JJ Scocco (5-9, 190) and his partner will be either senior Marcus Woodard (5-10, 180) and freshman Christian LeBrun (6-0, 180).  The two corners will come from senior Adonis McGee (5-10, 170), Robinson, and junior Quentin Lemon (6-1, 180).

Special Teams:  The kicker will be junior Joey Chaparro and returning at punter is Patrick Haughney.  The return men are not decided but Luzzi-Liggins, Mason, Asante, and sophomore Zack Smith (5-9, 170) are in the running.

Bullock, Rooks, Cobb, and Monteiro are sophomores with the chance to become top prospects.

Coach’s Comments:  “So far, we have worked as hard as any team.  It’s great to have our quarterback returning with good skill players around him.  This off-season, we committed to running the ball.  We’re excited: we just need to stay together, gel, and improve.” – Head Coach Rich Hansen
