Offense:

Quarterback:  

  • Lonnie Cebulski, Senior, 5-7, 170 – projected starter 

Running Back:  

  • Will Towns, Junior, 5-11, 205 – returning starter; split duties 
  • Steve Rodriguez, Senior, 5-10, 175 – played in 2017 and missed 2018 with injury 

Fullback:  

  • Nick Ford, Senior, 5-8, 205 – competing, started on defense 
  • Connor Taylor, Senior, 5-9, 180 – competing 

Wide Receiver:  

  • Jake McCown, Senior, 5-10, 160 – returning starter 
  • Zach Novak, Senior, 6-0, 170 – projected starter, injured most of 2018 
  • Wallace Doman, Junior, 5-10, 175 – will rotate and provide depth 
  • Jabari Lofton, Junior, 5-7, 150 – will rotate and provide depth 

Tight End:  

  • Jaden Perischilli, Junior, 6-4, 275 – saw playing time and started on defense 
  • Tyron Blackwell, Junior, 6-3, 205 – started on defense 

Offensive Line:  

  • Collin McCarthy, Senior, 6-6, 245 – returning starter at tackle 
  • Drew Trust, Junior, 5-11, 240 – projected starter at tackle 
  • Sean Laverty, Senior, 6-3, 240 – returning starter at guard, moving from tackle 
  • Sebastian Mark, Junior, 6-2, 240 – projected starter at guard 
  • Antonio Farias, Senior, 5-8, 240 – projected starter at center      
  • Matt Malone, Junior, 6-2, 235 – sixth man who saw time last year     

Defense:  

  • Formation: 4-3

  • Collin McCarthy, Senior – 3-year starter

Linebacker:  

  • Tyron Blackwell, Junior, 6-3, 205 – returning starter on the strong side 
  • Nick Ford, Senior – returning starter in the middle 
  • Brian Zapata, Senior, 5-10, 175 – projected starter on the weak side 
  • Michael Orientale, Sophomore, 5-10, 190 – will be the fourth lineman

  • McKown is back at punter and he will compete with others at punter 
  • Towns, Lofton, and others will be among the return men

Concerns: 

  • Meshing on offense – there are guys with talent, but they have not been as productive as the defense 
  • Finishing games 
  • Tough schedule – something they wanted 

Recruiting:  

  • McCarthy verballed to UConn
  • Laverty has interest from Bryant and is a top lacrosse prospect 
  • McKown and Novak have options in track as well as football 
  • Underclassmen:
  • Towns will go 1-AA or higher and runs a 10.9 100 meters
  • Blackwell has potential, as does Perischelli

“We’re right in the mix most seasons and we bring back experienced players who have been in battles. Teams may look past us, but we will play tough defense.  We’re cautiously optimistic and have a tough schedule.” – Head Coach Vin Mistretta
