The first round of the NCAA wrestling championships opened this afternoon in Pittsburgh – or as the NCAA calls it: Session 1. It is hard to get scores and the only site I could find all the results was nj.com. I am only posting the Jersey Guy matches and the results of the entire bracket can be found on their site. Tonight, I will get my results from watching the match the entire evening.
I love the NCAA basketball tournament and I have watched some, but I focus on the wrestling tonight. After this weekend, the basketball will have my undivided attention.
The wrestlers I have as Jersey Guys are:
- from Jersey and went to high school there
- those who are from New Jersey and went to high school in another state
- somebody who went to high school in Jersey and come from another state.
The 26 wrestlers who qualify went 13-13 in Session 1. I will put the winners and how they won in bold face, along with a sudden victory.
