  • Jeremiah Williams Junior, 5-10, 180 – provides depth 

Running Back: 

  • Dre Rooks, senior, 5-11, 190 – projected starter; gained 284 yards in limited action per nj.com 

Wide Receiver: 

  • Sah’nye DeGraffenreidt, Junior, 6-1, 195 – returning starter; caught 51 passes for 894 yards per nj.com 
  • Shawn WIlliams, Senior, 5-10, 165 – returning starter 
  • Mikel Jones, Senior, 5-9, 170 – projected starter 
  • Raul Cabrera, Junior, 6-2, 180 – projected starter; started on defense 
  • John Taylor, Senior, 5-11, 160 – part of the rotation 

Offensive Line:

Defensive Line: 

  • Raul Cabrera, Junior, 6-2, 180 – returning starter at end 
  • Judaryl Pittman, Senior, 6-2, 230 – front-runner at end 
  • Peter Gibson, Junior, 5-9, 240 – returning starter at tackle 
  • The other tackle will be determined in preseason 

Linebacker: 

  • Shareef Williams, Senior, 5-9, 185 – 3-year starter on inside 
  • Jayden Hemphill, Sophomore, 5-10, 180 – projected starter who saw action 
  • Sah’nye DeGraffenreidt, Junior, 6-1, 195 – returning starter on outside 
  • The position opposite DeGraffenreidt is up for grabs 

Secondary: 

  • Shawn Williams, Senior, 5-10, 165 – returning starter at cornerback 
  • Shuaib Wright, Senior, 5-10, 175 – returning starter at cornerback 
  • Mikel Jones, Senior, 5-9, 170 – projected starter at safety; saw action 
  • Kyree Barksdale, Sophomore, 5-9, 160 – part of secondary rotation 

Special Teams: 

  • Junior Raul Cabrera returns at punter and as kickoff kicker and the kicker for extra points and field goals will be sophomore Edgar Camacho 
  • DeGraffenreidt, Mikel Jones, and Shawn Williams will be the return men

Concerns: 

  • Filling holes up front, but they are confident the new faces will perform well 

Recruiting: 

  • Lyons is a D2 prospect with interest from the Pennsylvania schools 
  • Shawn Williams is a D2 candidate 
  • Shareef Williams is a D3 prospect because of size, but he is a very good tackler, a good leader with intangibles, and would be a good catch for any program 
  • Underclassmen: 
  • DeGraffenreidt has 13 offers, including Penn State, Michigan, South Carolina, Maryland, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, and Duke 
  • Cabrera is a top athlete who has Power-5 potential, possibly as a wide receiver
